Dining on the Disney WISH

The Disney Wish is the newest ship to join the DCL fleet and set sail for the first time in July of 2022. Combining inventive design, cutting-edge technology, and classic storytelling, the Disney Wish seamlessly brings Disney magic to life in new and unexpected ways, while creating the next generation in family entertainment. You can be among the first to experience the all-new enchantment on board. Foodies rejoice as this ship has plenty of food options from upscale adult-only to quick grab & go options. The Disney Wish features three different main family dining locations, each with its own stories to share – 1923, Worlds of Marvel, and Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. Each dining room offers something unique and serves up some truly delicious dishes that will leave you wanting to order more – which you can!

Food allergies or dietary restrictions are no worries with Disney Cruise Line. There is a separate menu available with some additional items as well as clear indications of what allergens are in what items. Simply ask your server and they will be able to better assist you.

1923 Disney Wish Dining

This dining option pays honors to the beginning of The Disney Company founded in 1923. An old Hollywood feel themed to the golden years of animation. The dining room is split into two parts, one dedicated to Walt Disney and one to his brother, Roy Disney. The delicious cuisine is inspired by California flavors and ingredients.

We loved the upscale feel of this dining venue for a main dining room option. Be sure to spend some time when the dining venue is closed exploring both sides of the venue, it’s filled with Disney treasures such as drawings and film props that you will not want to miss. We started our meal with the Hyperion Four Cheese Tri-Color Tortellini and Spiced Ahi Tuna, both of which were our favorite appetizers throughout the entire sailing. For the main course, we tried the 1923 Peppered Filet Mignon and the Seared Verlasso Salmon Filet, again both dishes were a huge win. While all of the desserts here were fantastic we particularly enjoyed the Churros Calientes. This seemed like such an iconic dish to order and they were fresh and crispy with a delicious Dulche De Leche on the side for dipping. We enjoyed 1923 for lunch as well and thought it was a wonderful option for a more formal lunch.

Worlds of Marvel Disney WISH

Disney Wish is home to the first-ever Marvel cinematic dining adventure, where guests will play an interactive role in an action-packed Avengers mission, complete with a menu inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A traditional “dinner and a show” concept. Outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and signature style, this dining option offers surprises in all shapes and sizes. Follow this culinary tour of real and fictional settings from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As huge fans of the Marvel Universe and a boy Mom of 3 myself this is the dining venue we were most excited for. The venue itself was incredibly immersive and the dinner show that accompanies your meal is a combination of film, interactive elements, and a surprise character element. during periods of the meal where the show wasn’t actively being played out the large screens lining the venue displayed non-stop Marvel content. The menu has some fun options to play on the theme, my favorite item was the Crispy Breaded Shrimp from Pym Tech. This incredibly large shrimp was on a bed of delicious White Cheddar & Corn Grits. My only complaint about this dish is that I could have eaten 3 of them as it was so good. For my entree, I tried the Golden Mystic Pasta, a nod to Doctor Strange. The dish featured seared scallops and angel hair pasta. I’m always up for pasta and this was not the best dish we tried but still a solid choice. The Rib-eye steak was a winner at this meal for other members of our party. A small group dessert of brownies is delivered tableside, I suggest skipping these and heading straight to the main dessert menu. This restaurant was a huge hit with my family and we only wished our sailing was longer to be able to dine there again. (Don’t worry we booked a return sailing just a few months later and enjoyed the venue just as much the second time.)

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure

Arendelle WISH Arendelle DIsney WISH

This might be the first Disney Cruise Line Dinner that is worth melting for! Join Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and more of your Frozen friends for a celebration! Queen Anna and Kristoff are newly engaged and they have invited you all to a gala of Nordic proportions. Feast on Norwegian-inspired dishes made by Oaken himself. With an innovative Rotational Dining experience on board the Disney Wish this meal will leave you falling in love with the story of FROZEN all over again!

This dining venue is magical in every way, the moment you enter Arandelle you step into Anna & Elsa’s world. Be sure to arrive a little early to enjoy the hallway entrance which is amazingly themed, you know you’re in for a treat immediately.  This venue is a little bit dinner and a little bit show with an amazing performance during your meal. To celebrate the engagement of Anna and Kristoff local musicians and a few favorite characters come together to celebrate this special occasion. The one thing we did notice is that not all tables at this location have the best view of the stage. It’s nothing to stress about as characters do weave their way throughout the dining hall at various times so you will get a good glimpse of them. The nod to Norwegian cuisine was fantastic and I would encourage even picky eaters to give some of these options a try. We started with Elsa’s Royal Baked Scallops served in a gorgeous domed puff pastry, the highlight of the dining experience and a must-do. For the main course, we tried the Arendelle Kjottkake (braided meatballs) and the Pan Seared Sea Bass. Both were nice dishes but nothing spectacular. What we did love here was the dessert, we tried them all. Calories don’t count in Arendelle right? The Troll Family Rock Chocolate Bar was as beautiful as it was delicious and the Norwegian Pancake Roulade is another must-try. This is such a highly immersive experience that it sets the bar for what Disney Cruise Line is capable of. We hope to see more experiences like this one on future ships.
